1. Hugh Cumming - July 29, 2007

Hi

My name is Hugh and I am in the business of cleaning parking spots, without getting into the details the majority of build up is removed, the area is not wet afterwards, what is left is oil stains and residue that is part of the asphalt or concrete. I am receiving a sample of Bio dry a powder, I would be interested in testing other manufacturers enzymes.
one thought is would a liquid enzyme get better penetration? also in the case of liquid enzymes my understanding is you can wake them up by mixing with warm water. my first interest is will it be acceptable to the environmental managers in regards to storm drain runoff if the residue goes to the drain, and of course would it work for oil stains caused by residue on concrete and asphalt. then of course price and minimum quantity on orders. whatever samples you send me I will be happy to document there effectiveness against other product that we test. I expect the process I use will become nationwide soon, there is good potential for volume if you have an enzyme product that works well with our system. sorry I am unable to give any details about our system at this time but would be happy to share it with you in the future.

if you don’t have any products appropriate for this I would still invite any feedback, suggestions or leads to other manufacturers, Thanx

ps the oxidizer mentioned in you’re blog I would like to test it on oil stains in concrete as well, after 40 hours would it be a hazard in regards to storm drain runoff?

BTW Im not a microbiologist my experience is in the field so if you’re response gets too technical I might get lost in the verbage, thanx again,

Jerry,

How goes it? You called yesterday about the soil samples you had previously examined. I’m sending this email so you get my email address and my mailing address:

The Colinas Group, Inc.
509 North Virginia Avenue
Winter Park, FL 32789

Could you send me a short letter (with your letterhead) commenting on the feasibility of using one of your products to clean petroleum residues in the type of soil samples we (QORE) sent you. Thank you.
